For my final film project, I wanted to explore how the city changes at night through a stylised lens. There is a theme within the cinematic sphere to use nighttime to ease viewers into an alternate reality. Why is it that we become more willing to slip into illusion after dark? Does it link back to our primal fears, or is the media we consume warping our perceptions of the early hours? My short film aims to invite questioning into how people and the cityscape interact differently and if the boundary between real and fantasy becomes more blurred after hours through capturing London's lights and darks as well as crossing genres between narrative and more abstract montage.
