# Project Description Shifting Personas Lamita Farah Summary Final work I'm a Creative Computing graduate with a passion for designing intuitive user experiences and building interactive systems. During my studies, I developed a solid foundation in technical and creative disciplines, enabling me to approach challenges from an artistic and analytical perspective. Now pursuing a master’s in Artificial Intelligence, I’m interested in how intelligent systems can enhance engagement across physical and digital environments. I’m especially drawn to the intersection of creativity and technology, using code as a tool for design, and design as a lens to shape meaningful technological experiences. I strive to create thoughtful, engaging, and human-centered solutions. I'm a Creative Computing graduate with a passion for designing intuitive user experiences and bui... College UAL Creative Computing Institute Course BSc (Hons) Creative Computing Graduation year 2025 Shifting Personas explores how AI’s human-like persona and embodiment shape user engagement, behaviour, and perception in everyday interactions, such as those with virtual assistants, chatbots, and AI companions. At the centre of this project is an adaptive AI chatbot that tailors its responses based on the user’s emotional tone and personality traits. Participants begin by selecting from various AI embodiments, including realistic humans, fictional characters, or abstract forms. Initially warm and emotionally attuned, the AI’s personality gradually shifts to a detached and neutral tone, highlighting the illusion of emotional connection and raising awareness of how anthropomorphic design can influence trust and decision-making. This research provides insights into the development of emotionally adaptive AI agents and the ethical implications of their design. User testing and data analysis have been conducted, and the findings contribute to ongoing research in Human-Computer Interaction, AI ethics, and AI agent design. Final work View Gallery View Gallery Exhibition Interface For the exhibition, users interacted with the AI avatar in real time through voice. The AI responded using speech and a dynamic visual—similar to Siri’s waveform—that reacted live to the tone and rhythm of the conversation.
