# Project Description Body of Doubt Laleh Sorgato Summary Final work College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 "Body of Doubt" a project about Hypochondria, an anxiety disorder. People with this disorder have a persistent fear that they have a serious or life-threatening illness despite few or no symptoms. This design stems from the simple act of coughing, something that often announces your body might be ill as a first innocent sign following other symptoms . By not being able to cover your mouth and having your arms restricted by your chest, you are forced to cough out loud, and accept your body is ill. Most of the research for this project comes from personal experiences, the piece is made from stretched lambskin leather, textured latex to resemble human skin texture, and it is all stitched with Nylon Monofilament (medical suture).
