Ritualistic Repetition

What stems from my practice is the convergence of digital systems and scared intent, a form of techno spiritual practice. I view my process not just as fabrication but as ritual-making. Each file prepared, each material cut, is a form of embodied remembrance. It is a way to build beyond the physical, to construct a legacy coded in both data and devotion; so that memory may not just live on, but be reproduced, echoed, and enshrined in form without end.

Within my practice, the value of design software's such as Adobe Illustrator and services of CNC fabrication aid as tools for order and transform online codes into tangible forms. The use of CNC fabrication stems from the ideology of 'endless expansion', within my practice the use of repetitive patterns, text, and symbolism interlock with sentiments of grief. Rhythm and chant deploy a tone of infinity via the ritualistic finite structures influenced by Middle Eastern architecture, The use of repetition invokes a paradox where 'nothing ends' - replaces finality with continuity. CNC fabrication (Computer Numerical Control) links to terms of 'endless expansion' as with quick turn-over rates its services are used to mass produce 200 units per hour (dependent on design intricacy), it deploys a sentiment of 'there's always more'. Within this state I seek comfort, as it feels permanent, till no end could my works be mass produced instilling a notion of legacy. Not of myself but for a loved one who passed at the end of last year, they rest within the core motif of my practice - plays to the scope of remembrance the attribute of infinity implies though my loved one is not here they will never be forgotten due to the longevity of the pieces digital systems and the concept of mass production.
