Final work

Kaiying Chen, lives in London and studying at Central Saint Martins. Her works are primarily centered around installation. Spanning multiple dimensions of performance, and music, her practice explores the human condition within contemporary society, specifically delving into the relationships between individual resistance and the collective unconscious. She was heavily influenced by Attali and saw noise as a form of resistance to the musical order. Her recent artistic practices focus on the social implications of noise in politics contexts and how sound shapes and alters collective consciousness. In her previous works, she combined drone sounds with metal sculptural to explore how understanding and emotional connections are constructed between people through sound.
