I am a multidisciplinary designer and creative director behind Barrett.exe a brand rooted in futurism, function, and emotional resonance. With a background in fashion design and a deep interest in technology, I wish to explore clothing as a response to a rapidly shifting world, both real and speculative. My work merges utility with storytelling, creating garments that serve as protective layers, emotional artefacts, and tools for survival in imagined futures.

By the year 2100, the air is thick with radioactive dust, a lingering consequence of wars and unchecked technological advancement. Many cities lie abandoned, crumbling under the weight of past conflicts, while others have evolved into sprawling, high-tech hubs where life contin- ues amidst neon lights and towering skyscrapers. In these advanced civilizations, AI dominates every aspect of society, creating a world that is both highly futuristic and deeply unequal.

Outside and within these gleaming cities, nomadic survivors adapt to the harsh, radioactive waste- lands, scavenging and re purposing old-world tech. Clothing is more than just a necessity; it is a statement of resilience, identity, and defiance against the forces that brought about this new world.

As a human surviving in this world, they would have to adapt massively, being able to get away from AI robots and be able to survive in harsh climates and environments.

What type of clothing choices would people have to make?

Looks 1-5 lined up

Looks 1-3

Look 1 - In a world where survival often means moving quickly to find safe shelter, this outfit is designed for adaptability and preparedness. It's optimised for long treks across the wastelands or navigating through these high-tech hubs where life continues amidst neon lights and towering skyscrapers. Walks in the dystopian landscape are more than leisure; they're acts of survival.

The design emphasises concealment while keeping comfort and movability as a priority.

Look 2 - Everyday wear merges functionality with personal expression, enabling survivors to adapt seamlessly to their environment while maintaining a sense of individuality in a harsh world.

Look 3 - In the radioactive wastelands, winters are brutal, with freezing temperatures and toxic dust storms threatening every step. Survivors rely on scavenged thermal gear layered with heavy insulation to trap heat and shield against the harsh environment. Built for more than the cold, the outfit features adaptable clothing to combat the extreme weather fluctuations.
