The Low-Definition Waiting Room critically considers liminal space and inactivity. Composed of three objects, this series includes Sonic Massage Chair, On/Off Table and Pixel Partition . When placed together, they form a waiting room. Each object engages with the value of indeterminate time. The Sonic Massage Chair addresses both the physical and psychological unease of waiting, whereas the On/Off Table considers the modern condition of being eternally ‘reachable.’ These are in conversation with the Pixel Partition , which plays with the visibility and privacy of semi-public spaces.

Relying on low-tech design, this multi-sensory series challenges the capitalist notion of constant productivity, proposing waiting as a meaningful, resistant mode of being.
