Julia Treplin-Hawkins

My project assesses the skewed fantasies created by the male gaze and how that can often lead to endangering women. I am trying to bring attention to some of the issues women are confronted with in public spaces daily, as well as experimenting with establishing the POV of a man at the start of the film. I also explored filming techniques, colour grading and aesthetics used by John-Luc Godard and other filmmakers of the 1950s and 60s, which I attempted to recreate in my film.
