# Project Description Metamorphosis: The Puzzle of the Elements Julia Perrin Summary Final work I am a designer and visual artist based in London, specialising in art direction, curation and production design in the fields of art, fashion and film. College London College of Communication Course BA (Hons) Illustration and Visual Media Graduation year 2025 Metamorphosis is The Puzzle of the Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Spirit. Geometric shapes represent the Five and can be placed on a board of a 10x10 square grid. The artwork is made of wood, a material that unites the Elements. Two activities are designed for the board. Activity 1 is a two-player game in which players use the shapes to create sets of 4 and score. Activity 2 is a pictorial language, a series of phrases that tell stories. The puzzle communicates ideas, concepts and traditions of ancient times through interactive activities that engage all the five senses. It explores the duality of the world and human nature. The Game emphasises competition, winning, scoring, playing, inventing by working together and joining ideas. The Language highlights creativity, sharing, teaching, passing down knowledge and creating beauty.
