'Queer Then, Now and Always', is issue one of an archival zine celebrating: queer community, protest and joy. Using collage, interviews, stickers and photography, it documents small moments of queer life from the past four months across London and Brighton. The project is grounded by visits to queer archives, community centres, exhibitions and queer history which helped shape both the content and the DIY aesthetic of the zine, inspired by protest placards and early zine culture. This is a love letter to queer spaces and a reminder that our stories deserve to be seen, shared and archived.
Final work

Final Zine
Photographs of the final zine from different perspectives documenting the spiral binding, insight to the pages, collaged front and back covers.
Queer Then, Now and Always
A brief flick through all of the pages of the zine.

A1 Collage
This is one of the collages I created using found queer media, magazine cut-outs from polyester and Diva and printed photographs. This collage was used to create the visual identity of the zine through scanning, printing and re-collaging.
Research and process

Process
Four key elements of my process were: vinyl sticker printing and cutting, Xerox printing, collaging and scanning. The photographs above show a brief insight to the process of making the 'Queer Then, Now and Always' zine. Attending queer exhibitions, archives , community spaces and events were also a key part of my process in preparing content to feature inside the zine.
