# Project Description London Made Me (Do It) Joe Lewis Summary Final work Prince of London. Prince of London. College London College of Fashion Course BA (Hons) Cordwainers Footwear Graduation year 2025 Keeping in true with typical art school projects, mine: London Made Me (Do It) , rife with hyperbole, self-indulgent narratives no one cares about and (Wolfe) tone-deaf commentary, explores the socio-political history of Working Class London. Using composite characters from 3 different generations: The Poets and The Rebels, The Prince of London and The Bully Bois with Breitling’s , I created a collection of shoes inspired by the pride and injustices that working class Londoners have found their existence informed by. Woven and weaved together with the same subtlety and pomposo of Lion devouring prey, I explored my own family’s history and designed shoes that represent this contradictory life. My shoes are dedicated to my namesakes. The ones who dropped their O’s and L’s and eventually their H’s and the rest who didn’t take the soup nor the piss. A great East Londoner once said, “We’ve almost lost London.” Another one said “Dirty T-T.
