# Project Description I cut my hair Jingmei Lin Summary Final work Jingmei Lin (Mei) is a London-based womenswear designer, currently graduating from London College of Fashion（2025）. My work explores the surreal and the absurd through playful silhouettes, material experiments, and visual storytelling. College London College of Fashion Course BA (Hons) Fashion Design Technology: Womenswear Graduation year 2025 "I cut my hair" is inspired by a childhood memory of cutting my own hair. This project uses absurdity for self-exploration, seeing the world through a child’s eyes and turning everyday things into something extraordinary. By returning to a childlike perspective, I escape adult logic and rules, letting spontaneity guide the design. Blurring reality and surrealism, tradition and non-tradition, I challenge wearability with twisted silhouettes, exaggerated proportions, and unexpected materials.
