Of all animals, I’ve always been particularly afraid of birds, but swans are the only ones that have ever helped me overcome that fear. So, I was intrigued to research them. I didn’t even know that black swans existed before, and I was fascinated to discover this species of swan. The black swan, with its dark mood and colour, really appealed to me, so I decided to make it the focus of my project. Final work Black Swan _ Reflection Reflecting the dark grace of the Black Swan, this look captures mirrored beauty through sleek waves and feather-like details, suggesting inner conflict and poise. Black Swan _ Characteristic Hair and makeup reflecting the Black Swan’s pre-evolution stage, with subtle detailing and soft contrasts symbolising vulnerability, purity, and latent power. Black Swan _ Ballet Hair and makeup inspired by the Black Swan ballet - sharp contrasts, structured lines, and dramatic textures evoke the elegance, intensity, and inner duality of the performance.
