# Project Description Between Order and Wild JIASHI LI (Silvan) Summary Final work I’m an illustration student with a background in Chinese painting. I enjoy exploring the emotional textures of colour and line. Through drawing and printmaking, I reflect on the quiet human tenderness found within nature. College Camberwell College of Arts Course MA Illustration Graduation year 2025 My major project is based on the site of Brompton Cemetery in London, which is a Victoria-era cemetery. I mainly focused on the symbolism and spatial presence of plants in this space. Through observation, I collected sketches, notes, and photographs, then used mapping and reorganizing methods to reflect on the contrast between human-designed areas and naturally grown areas. I intend to use a nonhuman perspective to explore how plants beyond being memorials, gently reclaim space in ecological ways. Ultimately, I aim to poetically present plants as healers in this place, reshaping traditional notions of death as a purely sorrowful subject.
