With China’s aging population, the fashion needs of middle-aged women have become increasingly significant, yet current apparel often fails to balance aesthetics, comfort, and fit due to insufficient body shape data and outdated sizing systems. Traditional classification methods based on linear measurements cannot accurately reflect the complex three-dimensional body changes experienced during middle age. This project employs 3D human body scanning technology to collect and analyze detailed body data, enabling more accurate body shape classification and the development of representative 3D body models. These models are applied to digital garment prototyping, virtual try-on, and pattern optimization, aiming to create more inclusive, data-driven, and people-oriented fashion solutions for middle-aged Chinese women.
