Jenna Rubinstein

My work exists in stillness. I create quiet, intimate, and sensual images that ask the viewer to pause; to breathe, to reflect, to connect. Working exclusively with film, I explore the deep relationship between the human body and nature; how the curve of a spine echoes the shape of a mountain, and how the roll of skin mirrors shifting dunes of sand. I am drawn to fluidity, non-linear boundaries, and the ways our bodies exist within and alongside the natural world. After completing my BA, I hope to engage with projects that offer fresh perspectives on visual communication. My practice is rooted in the intersection of art, fashion, and journalism, informed by a foundation in art history, publication design, and theoretical research developed throughout my studies.
