My short film ‘Before the Mountains’ is an exploration of ‘non-places’ (transient places where people pass through briefly). I explored a train station as a physical non-place location. I paralleled this with a non-physical non-place, which exists between death and the afterlife.

Wim Wenders’ quote that ‘every person is a universe’ influenced me in exploring sonder, the idea that everyone around us is living a life as complex as our own.
