# Project Description in search of place jackie smith Summary Final work I create prints, paintings and installations that explore my connection to coastal and rocky landscapes. Working with local materials such as pigments, seaweed and stones, I aim to forge a direct relationship between the artwork and environment. My practice is shaped by time, memory, embodied experience and belonging themes. I am particularly interested in the materiality of place and how we perceive and attempt to shape these liminal spaces where land meets the sea. My work invites reflection and a space to reconsider the familiar differently. I create prints, paintings and installations that explore my connection to coastal and rocky land...
