How can something so ever-present have its significance forgotten? After losing hair due to problems with my health, I realised as each lock of hair fell, I was losing a part of my identity. 'Memoir of the Fallen Locks' encapsulates sentimental attachments surrounding hair, taking inspiration from Victorian attitudes, beliefs and aesthetics. With each look, a garment within has been hand felted with locks of my hair, my mothers hair and my sisters hair, acting as a preservation of our relationships with hair.

  • Moodboard describing the inspiration behind the collection being the loss of my own hair and how that made me feel in relation to identity.
