Consutopia is a 2-4 player satirical and educational board game that critiques the addictive nature of ultra-fast e-commerce and its powerful influence in encouraging unprecedented hyper-consumerism within our society. The game puts the players in the shoes of the bad guy, where everyone competes to become the richest platform through deceptive design, mirroring how unethical shopping platforms like Temu, Shein & AliExpress manipulate customers through dark patterns. Through a satirical and thought-provoking gameplay, Consutopia aims to educate and encourage players to become more mindful of their purchases by exposing how unethical shopping platforms pull the strings and guide consumer behaviour. Ultimately, the game provokes players to question the absurdity of our consumer culture.
