Jàpá (an emotional migration memoir) short film

This project is an emotional memoir inspired by my recent relocation from Nigeria to the United Kingdom. With immigration on the rise due to the deteriorating conditions in my home country (Nigeria), this project strives to candidly convey the complex array of emotions that accompany leaving one's homeland, highlighting the emotional turmoil and ultimate triumphs experienced in the process. Ultimately, the outcome should vividly portray the challenges and victories that define an immigrant experience.

Through long-exposure techniques, I aim to convey the paradox of being surrounded by a crowd yet feeling profoundly alone, exploring the emotional landscape of isolation.

This is one of the key struggles of immigrants when they have just relocated from their home country to a foreign land.
