My practice is based on distortion, reconstruction and collage. I'm inspired by my longing for nature at the core of my work, using leaves from significant locations to make mono-prints. My work represents the process by which I made it: collecting, printing, cutting, sticking. Each part of the collage depicts a separate time, feeling of grief, entangled memories and moments of thought. The original is completely distorted and a new outcome emerges in its place.

My works represent a journey of grief and acceptance, starting with decaying leaves collected in graveyards and places of sanctuary, which are turned into mono-prints. The process then is that of destruction and transformation: dismantling the prints into shards and pieces to be rearranged into an entirely new result. The works created are products of grief, in the sense that the self is dismantled and built up again; the result will not be the same, or worse, just different.
