Suie is a magazine that focuses on East Asian aesthetics and trend culture. The name comes from the Taiwanese word “水” (suí) , which also carries the meaning of praising beauty. While it started as a local expression, with the rise of the internet it has gradually become a trendy term among Gen Z.

This magazine invites readers into the world of Beauty × Culture in East Asia. I hope Suie can act as a bridge between East and West, sparking conversations and exchanges through a cross-cultural lens. The content moves from light to in-depth: from introducing the latest Gen Z trends and aesthetics, to exploring the social values behind them, and even tracing how history has shaped today’s standards of beauty. By taking a broader perspective, we can rethink the meaning of “beauty” and the influence it holds.
