Hi.I'm Hongrui Xiang,an illustrator based in London, currently studying in the illustration program at Camberwell College of Arts, UAL. My work often foucses on simple, everyday themes. I find inspiration in the unnoticed details of daily life, aiming to capture moments of quiet beauty and emotional resonance that are easily overlooked. My practice is characterized by the use of vibrant and lively colors, and I frequently work with acrylics, oil pastels, and crayons.

This project explores the drinking culture in British pubs. Through observation and documentation of real-life scenes, it presents a series of life-sized illustrated standees and drawings that depict typical drinking postures and social interactions. These works come together to recreate a corner of a pub, inviting subtle interactions with the audience and the surrounding space. The project aims to provoke reflection on themes such as group belonging, individual presence, and everyday rituals within pub culture.
