The urge to make forms the basis of my practice, process is celebrated through form; the biography of the object reflective of the making. The allusion to shape and semiotics acts as an invitation to align some sort of structure of utility, questioning the uncertainty of human knowledge, re-evaluating the validity of assumed understanding. I persevere to push the objects out of the literalisms that they appear to reference, the ‘problem’ of non-function is not to be solved but enjoyed. In lieu of narrative, in lieu of manifesto, the work carries, in the context of display, an irrational commonality through proximity.
