In my current work, I've been exploring the lives of Eleanor Butler and Sarah Ponsonby; two women who eloped together to live as a couple in the late 1700s. Referring to archival material such as their diaries and sketchbooks, I am interested in making visible the possibilities of their life together and examining the impact they had on subsequent generations of queer women.
