Gravilife
A collection centered around the idea of invisible restlessness. It doesn’t depict emotional outbursts, but rather a constant, lingering state—something that rises slowly, like fog, and quietly spreads. It has no clear origin or trigger, yet it appears again and again in the gaps of everyday life.
I chose to start from basic streetwear silhouettes—familiar, grounded, and closely tied to daily reality. By subtly distorting specific areas of the garments, I aimed to reflect unconscious physical gestures often associated with unease, such as curling up or crossing one’s arms. These movements were translated into design language, quietly visualizing emotional weight.
In terms of materials and colors, I avoided dramatic textures or loud tones. I intentionally steered away from elements like boning or exaggerated shoulder pads, which deliver an overly forceful emotional impact. Instead, I chose understated, tactile fabrics—those that feel close to the body and the everyday. The goal was to recreate a sense of quiet discomfort, like the strange offness of realizing you’ve put a sweater on backwards. Small misalignments. Subtle resistance.
This collection is not about loud expression. It is about the stitching together of a muted emotional state—one that lives within the calm, that quietly sinks beneath the surface of ordinary moments.
