Hi, I’m Haohan Zhang, a designer with a BA in Graphic and Media Design (LCC) and an MA in Fashion Curation and Cultural Programming (LCF). My practice spans curatorial strategies, experimental publishing, audiovisual interaction, and data visualisation. I explore the intersections of physical and digital media, reassembling objects and visuals to challenge social norms and create immersive narrative environments :)

Remake is a curatorial and design project that explores how functional, everyday objects can be reassembled into wearable accessories, challenging consumer culture and social norms. By shifting objects from “use value” to “symbolic value,” the project opens up new ways of seeing and relating to materials.

Realised across two formats—a conceptual window display at Selfridges and a zine-inspired experimental magazine—the project plays with scale, misplacement, and glitch aesthetics to blur the boundaries between fashion, media, and cultural critique. Through this dual presentation, Remake questions how narratives change when experienced in physical space versus printed form, and proposes remake as a curatorial language of identity re-construction, anti-capitalist resistance, and imaginative possibility.
