I began by randomly boarding almost every bus near my apartment, riding to the last stop, and exploring whatever people or scenes inspired me. After completing nearly all the routes, I realized that most of the buses were drawn back toward the River Lea. At the same time, I discovered a symbolic bond: in my family, all the male figures’ spouses share the surname Li—the same as the river’s Chinese name. This connection of blood and landscape led me to explore the Lea more deeply, where I gradually found images that resonated with my inner spirit. Through fashion photography, I hope to reimagine and perform these poetic visions discovered along the river.
