HappiPaws is a smart care system designed to detect and respond to a dog’s separation anxiety through AI-driven monitoring and multisensory calming interventions. It combines an app with an AI-powered toy set and collar. When the owner leaves home, a smart collar and camera collect behavioural data (e.g. pacing, barking). The AI analyses this in real time and selects the most effective toy—scent, motion or touch-based—based on the dog’s past responses. The system provides real-time updates and daily summaries to support long-term emotional care. This project explores responsible AI, calm technology, and animal-centred interaction.
