# Project Description Signs and Semiology Gus Reading Summary Final work I’m a 20 year old student beginning my BA Illustration and Visual Communication course at the London College of Communication. College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 My project centred around semiology and the idea of messages being reduced and packed into iconic symbols and wayfinders. Initially beginning with bathroom stick-figures, I wondered if I could provide these symbols with a new purpose as a work of art, subverting their meaning whilst holding onto much of the shapes and forms from their original functions. Final work This was the result of my final installation, created with acrylic plastic for the sculptures and soft pastels for the backgrounds. Research and process This was mid-way through the setting up of the installation, and the process of deciding the final composition of the work.
