# Project Description Welcome Home Georgia Chapman Summary Final work My name is Georgia and I am a graduating artist based in London and the South West. My work includes a mixture of painting, sculpture, film and writing, but painting is my favourite. My practice started out with me looking at the overall theme of discomfort, and I am currently focused on childhood memories and how they manifest as fears in adulthood. College Central Saint Martins Course BA (Hons) Fine Art Graduation year 2025 My work aims to look at how childhood memories can translate into fears and comforts in later life. I look at both physical and mental tension through the use of materials (such as elastic bands and stretchy tights), imagery of domestic spaces considered ‘creepy’ and found objects that evoke nostalgia. My work includes paintings, installations, miniature sculptures and film. Final work Make Yourself at Home These paintings were inspired by personal fears, represented by creepy imagery that others could associate with their own deeper fears. A Walk Home A video showing a walk in my home town in Somerset contrasted by the walk up the stairs in my North London flat.
