Pear and Blossom is a character design project centred around the story of two characters, Pear and Blossom, and their breakup. Explore the characters of this colourful world through the figures or delve into the mystery of the breakup with ‘The Breakup Handbook’, accompanied by the character’s own personal playlist.

This project aims to subvert a typical character-based franchise and allow story elements to shine through each element. An additional interactive investigation can be found on the project website pearandblossom.cardd.co

Final work

The Breakup Handbook

An introductory character art book for the audience to better understand the characters and the story, taking inspiration from early 2000s magazines.

Blind Box Figure

A subversion on the typical blind box figure as each character comes along with insight into the world of Pear&Blossom from the character's perspective, inviting the audience into the colourful world and dramatic breakup.
