# Project Description EL DO RA DO fangbo luo Summary Final work As a designer, my curiosity about the world has driven me since childhood. Growing up in a vibrant neighborhood filled with diverse shops, I was captivated by the colorful posters, packaging, and logos that surrounded me. These visual elements sparked my fascination with design. My grandfather, an ink painting artist, also played a pivotal role in nurturing my creativity. Watching him bring landscapes and other inspirations to life deepened my passion for the arts. As a designer, my curiosity about the world has driven me since childhood. Growing up in a vibran... College Camberwell College of Arts Course MA Graphic Design Communication Graduation year 2024 In this installation, EL DO RA DO —symbolizing a utopian place of fulfillment and renewal— becomes a sanctuary where unresolved pain and past disappointments find redemption and release. This series explores the emotional shadows cast by authoritative figures in East Asian family education. Through a sequence of psychological prompts, each piece guides participants along a journey of self-reflection and liberation. It begins with “EL DO RA DO’s Eye”, a light symbolizing the start of healing, followed by “Guidance of EL DO RA DO”, a documentary visual, and “EL DO RA DO’s Echo”, a sound therapy experience. Participants then conclude with the “Shadow Smasher ” to release burdens, or the “EL DO RA DO’S Vault” for reflection and storage. Together, these elements create a path for self-compassion and emotional liberation.
