College Chelsea College of Arts Course BA (Hons) Product and Furniture Design Graduation year 2023 I designed Harmony Chair to support neurodiverse students in developing their cognitive, sensory, and social skills while fostering a sense of inclusion in the school environment. The chair's multifunctional design allows students to choose the most comfortable position for participating in class and encourages movement as needed to improve their learning. The chair provides sensory stimulation and movement that support children's focus and attention, enabling them to engage more in classroom activities and learning tasks. It creates a sense of belonging within the classroom and boosts children's confidence and self-esteem whilst promoting understanding, acceptance, and celebrating individual differences within the school community. Overall, the Harmony Chair represents a step forward in creating more inclusive and supportive learning environments where all students can thrive and reach their full potential. In 2024, I was honoured to receive a few awards with Harmony Chair: the Global Inclusion Awards – IFIP at UNESCO in Paris, the 1st Prize in the Pitch It program at UAL, The Rodney Fitch Prize at Central Saint Martins (UAL) and I was selected one of the UAL's Future 50 Founders and Freelancers Awards.
