# Project Description Human Mimicry Fabian Lo Summary Final work College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course International Preparation for Fashion (Certificate in Higher Education) Graduation year 2025 Focusing mainly on research and idea development based on the theme 'Human Mimicry,' which explores the formalisation of humanity and demolishing of features after the Industrial Revolution. Final work Maria and Human In the movie ‘Metropolis’, Maria represent the impact of industrialism. Here I tried to explore the visual relationship of human and the robotic image of Maria. Stretch By stretching a tee shirt the wearers feature under it are invisible making people with same silhouette. Disruptive Jeans Jeans with a huge opening that deconstruct the jeans representing the disruptive effects of industrialism. Fly Jacket Using the concept of fly’s blind spot, I designed a jacket that shows fabrics is two forms. Naturally draped (before industrialism) and strongly structured (after industrialism). Research and process Silhouette and movement Inspired by Malin Bülow’s performance art, I explored how silhouette of human can be unrecognisable in movement. Fly’s Lens If we are each lens of the fly’s eyes, we will have the same blind spot as the fly do. We are the same without our own vision.
