This installation aims to provoke conversations that people may be hesitant to have regarding death, illness and the emotional impact of losing someone close. Viewers are invited into a space to reflect on their own journeys of understanding and reconciliation, drawing from personal feelings and memories. At its centre is a life-sized plaster cast of a human figure, a stark presence evoking stillness and finality. It’s surrounded by soft amber lighting, and dappled shadows creating a warm and cocooned environment. This contrast forms a space that feels safe, even as it confronts grief.

This project is in memory of my wonderful cousin Sam.

In honour of him, I invite you to support the Fitzy's Cancer Research Fund, a cause that gives hope and time to others facing similar journeys.
