# Project Description Red Sister Emily Waters Summary Final work Hey, I'm Emily! I'm a lighting artist primarily interested in animation and game. This year I have been teaching myself Maya, Nuke and Unreal as well as dabbling in ZBrush and Houdini. My work primarily focuses on environments but really I'm passionate about worldbuilding and storytelling (and pretty pictures). Hey, I'm Emily! College Wimbledon College of Arts Course BA (Hons) Art Direction and Visual Effects Graduation year 2025 Inspired by the novel 'Red Sister' by Mark Lawrence; Sweet Mercy is the last hope for salvation in a planet being slowly covered in ice. The "focus moon" magnifies the suns fleeting rays and focuses it on a strip of land called "the corridor". My aim for this project was to create a game cinematic to introduce an imaginary environment to players. I redesigned and created the convent, Sweet Mercy, using Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Unreal Engine 5, Houdini and Nuke. I worked with a sound designer named Hattie Kim who made all of my beautiful sound for me! Final work Red Sister game cinematic This is my final cinematic. I designed and modelled everything except the grass which is from fab marketplace. The sound is courtesy of Hattie Kim.
