As part of my BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing degree at the London College of Fashion, I chose the Enterprise Pathway, which enabled me to develop a fully researched business plan in place of a traditional essay dissertation.
The business I conceptualised is Lace & Dagger - a mid-range UK-based brand that fuses the aesthetic appeal of lingerie with the functionality required for sensual performance, including the likes of pole dance, burlesque, and aerial skills. The brand is designed for Gen Z and Millennial consumers, performers and fashion fanatics alike.
Through primary research, I identified a clear gap in the market: existing garments often force performers to choose between sporty, minimal pole wear and delicate lingerie that lacks structure, coverage, and support. Lace & Dagger bridges this divide by offering dual-purpose designs that are both performance-ready and aesthetically appealing, empowering women to move with confidence.
