My final project involved looking into my own feelings of comfort in what others might find visually uncomfortable, feeling like an anomaly in this sense. Aligning with the theory of 'Unheimlich', a word which literally translates to 'Unhomely' and describes the feeling when something can be both familiar and alien at the same time. I explored a number of contemporary fashion and historical elements of European folklore costumes involving hair and fur. I created a flip-book outcome, never allowing the original images to match up fully and furthering my own ideas of the unnerving.
