A practical theorisation on how AI could democratise design.

This project explored how complex, part-automated to completely automated design systems could change the design industry. The premise of the project was to create a standalone, local system that allows non-designers to realise their vision with no design experience.

The project began in TouchDesigner but developed into a full system complete with live transcription, localised LLMs with custom system prompts, live hand tracking and complex ComfyUI workflows that were executed as scripts.

A live demonstration of the final outcome. Whilst the system is far from perfect it shows how non-conventional controls and AI assistance can open the door for non-designers to create complex compositions.

A highlighted view of the composition controls that leverages Google's Media Pipe models and p5.js in a standalone application to move generated elements.
