Daisy’s practice honours the lineage of seamstresses in her family. Making her collection exclusively from pre-existing needles, she recognises the invisible labour of women textile workers. Her pieces explore various techniques of metal manipulation that allow her to embody her personal narrative of honouring generational traditions. In other works, she refines the needles with the addition of gemstones, ultimately an act of respecting the needle’s integrity in tribute to her grandmother, aunt and sister.
