My project is based on my interest in current and past events in the world and how people react creatively to these events such as by creating music genres, posters and such. After investigating these pieces of media I created my own interpretations of concepts such as gender and race equality and created responses with posters, embroidery and different media. I want to show my perspective of these topics and add my own style and expression.

Final work

Creative Revolt Exhibition

I knew that my work would be the best formatted as an exhibition so this is a picture of me collecting all of my work together so that it could be seen by my peers. I have a range of mediums displayed in this display that all fit into my theme

I created this embroidered tie using an old school uniform to reflect the injustice that occurred in South Africa where students were not allowed to wear their natural hair , A student, Zulaikha Patel had started a protest against this, I created a portrait of her on this tie alongside the array of hairstyles I illustrated.
