Drawing from modern dating culture, this piece reflects on the growing reliance on entertaining factors, such as Tarot cards as a means of seeking reassurance and clarity in romantic relationships. Influenced by symbolic elements from Tarot—such as ‘Two of Swords’ and ‘The Devil’. I have created two separate pieces to present the emotional entanglement and confusion often felt in modern relationships. One of them, an eyepatch that covers one eye, which symbolizes how people can be blinded by tarot readings choosing illusion over clarity, and comfort over truth. The other one is two miniature swords as hair clips that presents the idea of a relucstance to confront difficult choices and cufusion.
