Chenxi Zhou is a jewellery artist based in London. Her practice focuses on contemporary jewellery and the philosophy of “life craft” — treating making as a way of thinking.

Drawing from the autobiographical nature of objects, her work explores how jewellery can carry memory, identity, and emotional experience. Beyond functionality, her pieces leave space for reflection and imagination, both for the wearer and the viewer.

Lost Pearl is a jewellery series built around the theme of loss. It begins with a single pearl has been lost in the London, and started a surreal journey.

The project speculates on the pearl's path through the London Underground station-stuck beneath shoes, trapped into the tube, drifting among crowds, swelling and breaking…These imagined scenarios stem from the emotions such as anxiety that triggered by losing something precious.

By giving form to these emotional fragments, the project explores how a "lost pearl" reflects a person's psychological state. Loss is not merely an ending, but a journey through possession, searching, and eventual release.
