Untold Story is a visual and narrative exploration of a historical legend from Renaissance in Italy. It centers on a noblewoman from Ferrara, renowned for her beauty and intellect, who is said to have played a secretive yet powerful role in protecting her family during an era of political intrigue and danger. According to the legend, she wielded a discreet yet deadly weapon. Through this tool, she is believed to have neutralized her family’s enemies while navigating the complex dynamics of power, loyalty, and survival. The project delves into the duality of her existence: the elegance and authority she outwardly displayed, and the internal and physical toll exacted by her clandestine actions. I aim to represent the impact of prolonged exposure to the poison, illustrating how it subtly but relentlessly affected her body, as well as the ways it marked her aging process over the decades. To portray this transformation, I used prosthetics to support the aging effect across three distinct life stages. In her 30s, I chose to highlight her beauty without any prosthetic enhancement, focusing on her youthful presence. For her 60s, I applied prosthetics to the cheeks, forehead, and hands to subtly introduce signs of aging while maintaining a sense of strength and resilience. By her 90s, the toll of her secret life becomes more apparent. I built upon the existing prosthetics, adding aging effects to the neck as well to reflect her physical decline. Through this visual journey, Untold Story seeks to honor her enigmatic legacy and capture the interplay between strength and vulnerability, shedding light on a fascinating, untold narrative that blurs the lines between myth and history.

Notable prosthetic enhancements include subtle aging on the cheecks, forehead and a dramatically affected hands, designed to resemble the slow deterioration caused by prolonged exposure to poison.

his haunting portrayal from The Untold Story project envisions Lucrezia Borgia in her nineties, a chapter of her life history never recorded, now vividly imagined. Through intricate prosthetic work, including aged cheeks, a weathered forehead, and a chillingly symbolic “poisoned” hand, the image reclaims Lucrezia not as a mere femme fatale, but as a powerful, aging woman shaped by decades of political intrigue and personal survival.
Draped in ornate Renaissance fabrics and wrapped in a regal shawl, she gazes into the distance with a blend of wisdom, weariness, and unspoken secrets. Her appearance, crafted with precision and symbolism, echoes the legends that haunted her name, while daring to suggest the untold truths that time chose to forget.
