Looking at how birds create nests. Accumulation, collecting and comfort were my starting key words. Looking at how humans mimic this and extremities. Exploring hoarding culture and remains. When creating my final outcome I wanted to make a head piece as there is something dreamy and whimsical about my exploration of nature and making. I tore this apart dissembling it and photographing the objects, leaving some of them with an emphasis on remains. I explored this idea of pathways and the journey and trails to treasure leaving some of the objects on to the path for someone else. As I am still in - decided apart I made something for the body (the headpiece) with a more fine art approach photographing the objects individually. Processes within my work include; cracking wax on to textile, sand casting, finding objects on trails, casting in resin and melting spoons and transforming them. During this project I had an increased emphasise on materiality.

Final work
