‘Perceive Me’ is a photobook exploring how young women navigate self-image, social pressure, and perception in a society shaped by the male gaze and toxic beauty standards. Rooted in personal experience, the project examines how social media distorts both self-perception and how individuals are perceived by others. Presented through two contrasting narratives, featuring models in shapewear and underwear, critiquing beauty standards perpetuated by pop culture and highlighting emotional vulnerability. Then reimagining the same models through my own stylistic lens, examining the tension between authenticity and external perception.
