College School of Pre-Degree Studies Course UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Graduation year 2025 This project explores the beauty in the non-linear process of creation. Investigating the visual and conceptual notions surrounding that of Pentimento, this will layer into a primary and secondary study on the conservation, preservation and restoration of art. By exhibiting process alongside outcome a creator’s personal doubt is revealed, showing the difficult decisions to conform or resist, vastly influencing how the art will come to be perceived. The project is informed by my own experiences, inspired by the vibrant craft within my female lineage, in particular, the fabric Dupioni and how the luminosity in its colour has become a point of connection between 3 generations. This goes in juxtaposition with the landscape we collectively grew up in as radiant art is birthed and grown deep within a sunburnt country.
