‘What is that?’ is result of many layers of photography, print and projection among other processes. It explores the value in low-resolution images, the moving image and encouraging a viewer to ask, “What is that?”

This photograph is of a 76 x 56.9 cm projection piece. An image of an image is printed and worked over, with a second acetate layer worked over with the same image and suspended in the air. A four minute video of the same imagery glitching and moving around the work is projected over the entire piece and interacts differently with the two surfaces.
